Feed Milling

The Undergraduate Certificate in Feed Milling offers a course of study focused on teaching, developing and implementing new technology associated with feed milling and animal agriculture in North Carolina, the U.S. and internationally. Requiring 12 credit hours (four courses), the program seeks to provide an educational opportunity to individuals in the feed industry who live and work in remote areas of the country, increase the technical knowledge of individuals working in the feed and allied industries, increase awareness of government regulations that apply to the feed industry, and to develop skills of feed mill employees. Like all designated university certificates, this undergraduate certificate program has gone through an approval process at the university level.

Eligibility

Students pursuing university certificate programs are considered non-degree studies (NDS) students. NDS students must complete the NDS application for admission to the university. Students must be in good academic standing to take courses at NC State. Students desiring to earn the certificate should contact the program coordinator.

Plan of Study

The University Feed Milling Certificate requires 12 credit hours (five courses). Students pursuing university certificate programs are considered non-degree studies (NDS) students for the purpose of university registration; NDS students may register for a maximum of 6 credit hours per semester. Thus, the University Feed Milling Certificate may be completed in as little as two semesters.
