College of Education

Are you working as a Lateral Entry/Residency-licensed business teacher or marketing teacher in a middle school or high school? The Initial Licensure Program (ILP) in Business and Marketing Education is a 12-credit online program designed specifically for provisional licensed teachers currently working in a business and marketing middle or high school classroom. Students may choose to pursue the Business or Marketing option. If you have questions regarding program options, please email the program coordinator.

Consisting of three courses in the Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences, our initial licensure program is one of the lateral entry programs in the Alternative Teacher Education Program offered at NC State. Courses are offered as extension courses and delivered entirely online, asynchronous, and include field-based experiences.

This program may lead to Professional Licensure.
