Renewable Energy Assessment
The 12-credit-hour University Undergraduate Certificate in Renewable Energy Assessment and Development provides students the opportunity to assess and implement renewable energy technologies. Open to both NC State degree-seeking students and non-degree students.
The certificate is intended to provide students with the ability to assess facilities and land for renewable energy production. Designed to provide both NC State degree-seeking students and non-degree students opportunities to learn essential renewable energy assessment techniques and principles that are useful in emerging careers in renewable energy, the certificate is useful as a supplement to a degree or as evidence of expertise in this emerging field.
Eligibility
The certificate is open to all NC State undergraduate degree-seeking students and to those who are enrolled as Non-Degree Studies (NDS) students.
Plan of Study
The certificate program requires 12 undergraduate credit hours (four courses). Students pursuing only the university certificate program are considered non-degree studies (NDS) students for the purpose of university registration. NDS students may register for a maximum of six credit hours per semester. Thus, the certificate may take from two to four semesters to complete. A minimum grade of “C” is required for each course.
