Admissions Requirements
Admissions requirements for the ILP include:
- Employed as a Lateral Entry (provisional license) teacher in a NC public school system
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, business or marketing education, or related area from an accredited college or university
- Overall GPA of at least 2.75
- An official copy of final college or university transcripts with GPA and degree posted
- Completed NC State Lateral Entry Application
- Signed Licensure Plan (provided by NCSU)
What you need to know before applying
Affiliation
Email the program coordinator a copy of your transcript and completed Form RL. Please be sure your transcript is clear and contains all pertinent information (e.g., first and last name, cumulative GPA, degree awarded, major, minor or concentration if applicable, etc.). In addition, please make sure to complete the entire top portion of the Form RL and your district licensure specialist (or designee) complete the LEA section and current residency year.
Program and University Admission
Once your Form RL is signed and returned, you will be considered affiliated with NC State University as your EPP and will receive more information in regards to university admission and program completion.
